Job summary

Guild Mortgage seeks a Portfolio Manager to oversee a ~300-loan construction portfolio, ensuring covenant compliance and risk reporting to leadership. You will conduct loan reviews, audits, and manage defaults as needed, protecting credit quality and driving underwriting discipline.

Ideal candidates have construction lending or risk analysis experience, strong communication, and meticulous attention to detail to support cross-functional teams and audit-ready files.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in construction lending, credit/risk analysis, or loan portfolio management.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high-volume loan portfolio.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills for reporting to leadership and coordinating with internal teams.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor an active portfolio of ~300 construction loans for covenant compliance and escalate issues.
• Prepare and deliver regular portfolio performance and risk reporting to leadership.
• Conduct periodic loan reviews and internal audits to verify accuracy and underwriting adherence.
• Identify early warning signs of credit deterioration and manage default/workout scenarios.
• Maintain audit-ready loan files and documentation throughout the loan life cycle.
• Collaborate with underwriting, servicing and credit risk to ensure consistent portfolio management.
