LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a Orlando-based law firm to recruit an experienced Construction Litigation Legal Assistant to support a busy litigation team.

This role requires at least 5 years of legal assistant experience, with mandatory construction defect litigation experience and knowledge of Florida pre-suit matters under Chapter 558. The position offers a long-term opportunity in a collaborative, technology-forward environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of legal assistant experience.
• Construction defect litigation experience is mandatory.
• Experience with Florida Statute Chapter 558 construction defect pre-suit matters is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures and deadlines.
• Paralegals transitioning to a legal assistant role are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to attorneys handling construction litigation matters.
• Manage attorney calendars, scheduling, deadlines, and meetings.
• Proofread and assist with document production.
• Enter attorney time and review attorney billing.
• Prepare files and materials for hearings.
• E-file pleadings and other documents with state and federal courts.
• Open new matters and process conflict checks.
• Maintain organized case files and assist with day-to-day litigation needs.
