Job summary

Pacer Group, located in Los Angeles, is seeking a Civil/Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic litigation team in a hybrid work environment. This role focuses on complex construction disputes and related civil litigation, with direct client interaction and case ownership.

The ideal candidate will have experience handling civil and commercial litigation, strong research and writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters independently across a range of proceedings including

Qualifications

• Experience in Commercial litigation or complex civil litigation preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Experience with discovery, motion practice, depositions, and hearings.
• Ability to independently manage litigation matters.
• Strong communication and client-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Civil/Commercial Litigation Attorney matters from inception through resolution.
• Develop case strategy and evaluate liability and exposure.
• Handle pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Draft complaints, answers, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and factual investigation.
• Analyze construction contracts, project documents, and related claims.
• Work with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed.
• Independently manage multiple matters and deadlines.
