Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active Texas Bar in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of post-licensure attorney experience.
• Strong litigation experience with drafting pleadings and motions.
• Excellent legal writing, research, and communication skills.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Houston.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters from intake through settlement, arbitration, or trial.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and legal correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and case analysis.
• Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Develop litigation strategies and manage case progression.
• Review contracts, project documents, and dispute-related records.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding legal strategy, case status, and risk assessments.

Construction Litigation Attorney

Location: Houston, TX | On-Site | Full-Time | Up to $140,000

About the Opportunity

A growing Houston-based law firm focused on construction law and complex commercial disputes is seeking a Construction Litigation Attorney to join its expanding team. This role is heavily litigation-focused and offers the opportunity to manage cases from inception through resolution while representing contractors, subcontractors, property owners, developers, and businesses involved in construction and commercial disputes. The firm is open to attorneys with construction litigation experience as well as candidates from commercial litigation, insurance litigation, real estate litigation, civil litigation, or other litigation-focused practice areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters from intake through settlement, arbitration, or trial


• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and legal correspondence


• Conduct legal research and case analysis


• Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances


• Conduct and defend depositions


• Develop litigation strategies and manage case progression


• Review contracts, project documents, and dispute-related records


• Communicate directly with clients regarding legal strategy, case status, and risk assessments

Required Qualifications
