Job summary

Lynberg & Watkins, APC is seeking a Construction Defense Litigation Associate Attorney in Orange, CA. The attorney will handle disputes from pre-litigation through trial and appeals for a range of clients, including contractors, design professionals, and owners.

The ideal candidate has a JD from an ABA‑accredited school, active CA bar, and 5+ years in construction defense litigation with strong writing and advocacy skills. Some travel may be required and a supportive team environment is offered.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in construction defense litigation from pre‑litigation through trial and appeals.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery; conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Advise clients on strategy and potential settlement options; negotiate resolutions.
  • Mentor junior associates and collaborate with partners on complex matters.

Are you a skilled attorney with a passion for Construction Defense Litigation? The Construction Litigation team at Lynberg & Watkins is hiring a Construction Defense Litigation Associate Attorney. The Construction Litigation team handles a wide variety of construction disputes from pre‑litigation through trial and appeals. The cases include both private and public works projects on behalf of contractors, subcontractors, design professionals (architects and engineers), construction managers, product manufacturers and suppliers, owners and sureties.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Active California state bar membership in good standing is required.
  • Citizen of United States of America.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction defense litigation or relevant practice areas.
  • Strong knowledge of construction law, contracts, and dispute resolution processes.
  • Excellent writing, analytical, organizational, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently as a self‑starter.
  • Proven track record of achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Available for some travel as necessary.
