About This Role

As a line worker in the Kinetic construction and engineering organization, you will install, repair, and maintain poles, cables, and conduits; install aerial and buried cables with hardware; and run fiber optic and copper cables in aerial and underground infrastructure.

You will ensure crew safety, attend safety meetings, maintain inventory, operate heavy machinery, and perform routine maintenance. This role involves working on weekends, holidays, and unscheduled hours, with travel over 50% possibly required. It is a safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain poles and cables; interpret blueprints and staking sheets.
• Set up customer services, install, connect, test, or adjust equipment.
• Access work areas using bucket trucks, climbing poles, or entering tunnels and trenches.
• String and pull cables, perform underground trenching, and follow safety and industry standards.
• Participate in engineering and construction processes, recognize route issues, and repair route problems.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate construction equipment like digger derricks, bucket trucks, etc.
• Pole climbing certification and ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Work in all weather conditions, confined spaces, and at heights.
• Availability for on-call, day/night shifts, and travel up to 50%.
• High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and ability to obtain DOT certification and CDL.

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 10 Hour Safety Course, Buck Squeeze certification, proficiency with construction equipment.

Physical and Visual Requirements

Extensive standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, lifting, and manual dexterity required. Visual and audio acuity necessary for safety and operational tasks.
