Summary:

The Lead Superintendent oversees the full scope of the physical construction of the project. Responsibilities include Safety, QA/QC, Subcontractor Management, Document Control, Schedule, Relationship Management, and Project Management. The role involves supervising daily work in the field, ensuring high-quality output at optimal cost and time, and planning ahead for personnel and materials flow.

Essential Functions:

Safety:

• Enforce compliance with safety laws and regulations, stop unsafe work, and follow safety recommendations.
• Manage safety inspections, verify remediation, and document findings.
• Implement and update NFPA 241 Plan, notify Fire Department of updates.
• Manage site security, conduct daily site walks, prepare for OSHA inspections, and report incidents.

QA/QC:

• Create and lead QA/QC management plan.
• Monitor project progress, ensure compliance, and oversee punch list processes.

Subcontractor Management:

• Facilitate subcontractor work, organize meetings, maintain relationships, and manage logistics.

Document Control:

• Manage reports, permits, testing, inspections, and documentation.

Schedule:

• Create and update schedules, coordinate with all parties, and monitor delays.

Relationship Management:

• Maintain positive relations with stakeholders and foster team environment.

Project Management:

• Develop site regulations, phasing plans, and manage activities and budgets.

Leadership:

• Provide direction, motivate, mentor, and promote training.
