Job summary

Sequoia Services is seeking experienced construction professionals to perform on-site labor tasks as part of a full-time team. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork to ensure project completion.

The position requires 1+ year of construction experience, ability to read instructions and diagrams, and skill in using hand and power tools. You will assist crew members, move materials, and help maintain a clean, safe site in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in construction.
• Job Knowledge, Ability to attain certifications as required, Fit for Duty.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; calling for repairs.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in training opportunities.
• Take actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, or falling objects.
• Prepares work by studying and clarifying instructions and diagrams; calculating requirements; gathering supplies.
• Coordinate machine actions with other activities, position or move loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members
• Safely move dirt, rocks, equipment, or other materials using articulated dump trucks.
• Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• This position is also responsible for tasks involving physical labor at construction sites and assisting other workers
• Employees may operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments.
• Control traffic passing near, in, or around work zones with appropriate training provided.
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials with appropriate training provided.
• Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes
• Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
• They may also clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble other waste materials
• Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools while distributing them to the appropriate locations
