Job summary

Bartlett Cocke General Contractors in the North Austin, TX area is seeking Laborers to join our team and contribute to a range of construction projects.

You will perform strenuous manual tasks, work on roofs and scaffolds, help with material handling, and maintain a safe, clean jobsite while following safety procedures. This role may require travel between jobsites; protective PPE is provided and required.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit.
• Must pass pre-hire screenings.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• May be required to travel between, to and from jobsites.
• Will be required to wear PPE to include hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, gloves, and work boots.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor on construction projects.
• Works on roofs, multi-level structures, scaffolds and/or ladders.
• Maintains a clean jobsite, picks up all tools and equipment and secures tools on job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
• Performs material handling and storage.
• Loads and unloads material from trucks, manually hauls and/or hoists materials, pumping water.
• Ensure that work is performed in a safe manner.
• Ensures that work is performed in a safe manner.
• Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
• Reports problems to the attention of the Foreman, Superintendent, or Safety Manager.
• Performs manual work in preparing surfaces.
