Job summary

Bartlett Cocke General Contractors in the College Station, TX area is seeking Laborers to join our team. This role involves manual labor on construction sites, working on roofs, multi-level structures, scaffolds and ladders, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities include performing strenuous tasks, material handling, site clean-up, loading/unloading, and reporting issues to foreman or safety staff.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit.
• Must pass pre-hire screenings.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• May be required to travel between, to and from jobsites.
• Will be required to wear PPE to include hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, gloves, and work boots.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor on construction projects.
• Works on roofs, multi-level structures, scaffolds and/or ladders.
• Maintains a clean jobsite, picks up all tools and equipment and secures tools on job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
• Performs material handling and storage.
• Loads and unloads material from trucks, manually hauls and/or hoists materials.
• Ensure that work is performed in a safe manner.
