Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking a reliable Construction Laborer to support our job sites with hands-on, outdoor work on sewer maintenance, inspection and rehabilitation projects. The role includes operating and maintaining equipment and collaborating with a safety-focused team.

This full-time, non-exempt position offers shift work, weekends, and overtime with on-the-job training. A high school diploma is preferred; you must lift 50 lbs and pass pre-employment checks, including a D.O.T. physical.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in physical labor and/or outdoor construction preferred.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Capable of following instructions and on-the-job training.
• Basic or advanced math skills.
• Ability to operate a variety of simple and complex tools.
• Can lift, push/pull, carry 50 lbs.
• Ability to work overtime and out of town.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and D.O.T. physical, driving record checks.

Responsibilities

• Performs all work tasks to support sewer maintenance, inspection and/or rehabilitation pipeline tasks.
• Operation and maintenance of all equipment.
• Makes routine decisions and takes direction from supervision.
• Load, unload, and move materials and equipment.
• Able to work in the elements - extreme cold and heat for long duration.
