Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking an entry-level helper to assist skilled craft workers at construction sites in Houston, TX. The role focuses on safety, following directions from superintendents and foremen, and performing a variety of duties as needed.

You must meet physical requirements, bring essential tools, and be willing to work overtime, nights, and weekends as workload dictates, with a strong emphasis on keeping sites clean and complying with safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate with supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist craftsman in setting up work as required.
• Follow instructions from superintendents, foreman and other experienced crew.
• Perform all duties with the first focus on safety.
• Responsible for keeping work areas clean and in orderly conditions.
• Read and understand warning signs, operating instructions for equipment, jobsite safety rules and jobsite policies.
• Learn to observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to determine hazards.
