Spencer Construction in Laredo, TX is seeking skilled construction laborers to support craft workers on our heavy civil projects. You will follow supervisor guidance to perform safe, efficient tasks and learn from experienced crew members across several trades.

The role requires basic construction experience, reliable transportation, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to travel to project sites. We offer medical, dental, vision, and a 401k with employer match.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience of general construction.
• Must pass a federal background check.
• Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Must be willing to travel to various project sites.

Responsibilities

• Learn to safely and effectively use or operate work related tools and equipment.
• Look for opportunities for improvement in all work tasks, means and methods regarding the work and be willing to learn from others.
• Produce high quality work, safely and productively at all times.
• Provide feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment and information is available for the work.
• If unsure about any aspect of the work or issues regarding safe practices ask a supervisor before continuing.
• Eliminate WASTE such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage and time.
• Effective Math skills - add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work.
• Maintain positive working relationships with all members of the crew.
