Spencer Construction is hiring Skilled Construction Laborers to support craftsmen and help ensure the safe, efficient completion of on-site work. You will follow directions from project supervision, operate basic tools, assist with material handling, and maintain positive working relationships.

The role may require travel to multiple project sites and exposure to outdoor conditions. This position provides hands-on field experience with a path to advanced trades within our growing heavy civil

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience of general construction.
• Must pass a federal background check.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.
• Willing to travel to various project sites as needed.
• 2 or more years' experience of general construction.

Job Summary

Our Skilled Construction Laborers provide support to Skilled Craft workers and the successful completion of construction and engineering work. This position will work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervisor. Ability to follow guidance and instructions from senior personnel, supervisors, or foremen to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Will be required to work on project sites and operate vehicles, trailers, machinery, equipment and other tools within local, state and federal safety guidelines. This position operates in a professional field environment. The position requires working outside, frequently for long periods of time in all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures. While working, the employee might be exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, virus or other air-borne pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris.
