HouseSmart Construction, a division of Clayton, is seeking a dependable construction laborer to support manufactured-home setup and installation at home sites. This entry-level, outdoors role emphasizes safety, quality work, and teamwork.
You will assist with site preparation, do manual tasks with hand and power tools, travel to job sites, and help with foundations and basic masonry under homes while following our safety procedures and Crew Chief instructions.
Construction Laborer/ Installer Pay: Starting at $17/hour+, based on experience HouseSmart Construction is seeking a dependable construction laborer to support manufactured-home setup and installation activities at home sites. This hands-on, outdoor role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality work, follows safety practices, and enjoys contributing to a hardworking team.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and crawl underneath homes for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely perform physically demanding work in an outdoor construction environment.
Some positions require employees to operate company vehicles and meet specific driving qualifications. Candidates in these roles must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record. A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check will be conducted as part of the pre-employment screening process. For positions requiring Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance, candidates must be at least 21 years of age and must successfully obtain and maintain a valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Health Card) by completing a DOT physical examination.
Work hours can vary based on delivery schedules, job site conditions, travel, and project needs. Flexibility is important, as some days may finish earlier while others may require additional time to complete the job safely and efficiently. Monday - Friday
