Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Operate jackhammers, drills and other power tools as required.
• Position, join, align, and seal structural components such as concrete wall sections and pipes.
• Shovel cement and other materials into portable cement mixers; mix, pour, and spread concrete.
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
• Spray materials through hoses to clean, coat, or seal surfaces.
• Tend machines that pump concrete, grout, cement, sand, plaster or stucco through spray-guns.
• Tend pumps, compressors, and generators to provide power for tools and equipment.
• Lubricate, clean, and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.
• Apply caulking compounds by hand or using caulking guns.
• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards.
• Control traffic near work zones.
• Dig ditches or trenches and backfill excavations to grade specifications.
• Erect and disassemble scaffolding and temporary structures.
• Load, unload building materials, machinery, and tools.
• Mix ingredients to create compounds for surfaces.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Provide assistance to craft workers such as carpenters and masons.
• Work long, flexible hours including nights, weekends, and extended periods.
