Veit & Company, Inc. is seeking a construction laborer to perform physical tasks at project sites. You will operate hand and power tools, assist other craft workers, and help prepare sites for excavation and scaffolding. Safety and efficiency on site are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6–12 months of construction experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• OSHA 10 certification, First Aid/CPR, and understanding of safety precautions and procedures.
• Ability to view and understand safety training videos.
• Good oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management, employees, vendors, and business associates.

Responsibilities

• Conduct strenuous manual labor and maintain a safe job site.
• Load and unload trucks, haul and hoist materials.
• Ensure safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
• Identify and expose underground and overhead utilities before excavation.
• Review trenching requirements and ensure required protection is available.
• Communicate any actions that may affect project progress to the Foreman, Superintendent, or General Superintendent.
• Assist with any additional duties assigned by management.
