Schnabel is seeking a Geotechnical Construction Laborer to assist with building specialty underground structures. Founded in 1959 in Washington DC, we are a busy nationwide specialty contractor. As a general laborer, you will operate various hand and power tools, including air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, among others.

Our typical scope of work includes installing soldier piles, micropiles, lagging, walers, tiebacks, and braces for excavation support. We also undertake complex projects such as underpinning, grouting, tunneling, and unique structural supports. Candidates with direct construction experience and familiarity with these scopes are preferred.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of construction labor experience or a certification from a training program
• Underpinning experience (preferred but not required)
• Lagging experience (preferred but not required)
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to lift and carry 80 pounds over rough terrain
• Pass pre-employment drug screening
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license or accepted legal ID

Pay is based on local union wage scales.
