Job summary

Stratford Homes LP in Stratford, WI is hiring a Construction Laborer/Carpenter for the day shift. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM–2:20 PM, with starting pay at $21.50/hour and potential for higher based on experience.

You’ll join a hands-on team building modular homes, using lumber, power tools, and a tape measure to ensure precise measurements and quality. Responsibilities include framing, roofing, siding, flooring, and finishing work, with opportunities for weekly pay,

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry/construction—including DIY projects or school courses.
• Able to identify lumber dimensions and read measurement markings accurately.

Starting at $21.50/hour – higher starting pay may be available based on relevant construction experience.

These positions play key roles in the assembly and construction of modular homes. The ideal candidates will have experience working with lumber, basic power tools, and a solid understanding of how to accurately read and use a tape measure.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Experience in carpentry/construction—This includes at home DIY projects, recent related high-school classes, or previous jobs.
• Hand/power tool experience.
• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.

Required Experience:

• Accurate and efficient use of a tape measure.
• Ability to identify lumber dimensions.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to kneel, squat, stoop, twist, etc. The employee frequently works with arms extended and raised, frequently walks along rafters and climbs ladders. Occasionally the employee will lift and carry heavy loads. The employee walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects. The position requires good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
