Job summary

TerraFirma is seeking a motivated Construction Laborer to safely load trucks, assist with on-site installation, and unload vehicles returning from job sites.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to work in crawlspaces and basements, adherence to safety protocols, and reliable on-site attendance.

A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and a valid driver’s license (CDL not required) is advantageous.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of construction or related trade experience.
• Ability to work in crawlspaces and basements for extended periods.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, more with assistance.
• Basic understanding of construction processes, tools, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload trucks with materials, tools, and equipment.
• Perform on-site installation tasks following Foreman instructions.
• Safely operate TerraFirma vehicles and follow driving policies.

Job description

In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently loading trucks in preparation for job sites, performing installation duties on-site, and unloading and cleaning trucks upon return to TerraFirma.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Construction Laborers must safely, accurately, and efficiently load and unload trucks with materials, tools, and equipment as directed by the Foreman and Production Manager
• Safely navigate and perform tasks within crawlspaces, basements, and other confined spaces throughout the workday, adhering to safety protocols at all times
• Accurately and efficiently perform installation tasks following the Foreman’s instructions, utilizing approved methods, standards, and meeting established timelines
• Safely and responsibly manage TerraFirma property, including products, tools, and equipment, ensuring their proper care and use
• Operate TerraFirma vehicles in a safe, responsible, and courteous manner, maintaining adherence to traffic laws and company driving policies
• Maintain reliable and consistent on‑site attendance to ensure smooth project execution and team collaboration

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Ideal candidate for this position should have at least 1 year of experience in construction or a related trade, with a solid understanding of industry practices, tools, and safety protocols
• Capable of working in constricted work environments (crawlspaces and basements) for extended periods, demonstrating comfort and adaptability in such conditions
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted and more than 50 pounds with assistance, and performing physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
• Previous knowledge or experience in construction or related trades is preferred, with a basic understanding of construction processes, tools, and safety protocols
• Proficiency in operating various construction equipment and power tools is preferred, with a focus on safe and efficient use
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• A valid driver’s license (or CDL) with a safe driving record
