Job summary

TerraFirma is seeking a dependable Construction Laborer to assist with loading and unloading trucks, perform on-site installation tasks, and ensure equipment is safely handled when returning to site.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to work in crawlspaces, adherence to safety protocols, and a valid driver’s license. Prior construction experience is preferred, with a team-oriented mindset and commitment to reliability.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in construction or related trades.
  • Able to work in crawlspaces and basements.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Valid driver’s license (or CDL) with a safe driving record.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely load and unload trucks with materials, tools, and equipment as directed.
  • Navigate crawlspaces and confined spaces following safety protocols.
  • Perform installation tasks per Foreman’s instructions and timelines.
  • Manage TerraFirma property and equipment with care.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and follow driving policies.
  • Maintain reliable on-site attendance for project continuity.

Job description

In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently loading trucks in preparation for job sites, performing installation duties on-site, and unloading and cleaning trucks upon return to TerraFirma.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Construction Laborers must safely, accurately, and efficiently load and unload trucks with materials, tools, and equipment as directed by the Foreman and Production Manager
  • Safely navigate and perform tasks within crawlspaces, basements, and other confined spaces throughout the workday, adhering to safety protocols at all times
  • Accurately and efficiently perform installation tasks following the Foreman’s instructions, utilizing approved methods, standards, and meeting established timelines
  • Safely and responsibly manage TerraFirma property, including products, tools, and equipment, ensuring their proper care and use
  • Operate TerraFirma vehicles in a safe, responsible, and courteous manner, maintaining adherence to traffic laws and company driving policies
  • Maintain reliable and consistent on-site attendance to ensure smooth project execution and team collaboration
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Ideal candidate for this position should have at least 1 year of experience in construction or a related trade, with a solid understanding of industry practices, tools, and safety protocols
  • Capable of working in constricted work environments (crawlspaces and basements) for extended periods, demonstrating comfort and adaptability in such conditions
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted and more than 50 pounds with assistance, and performing physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
  • Previous knowledge or experience in construction or related trades is preferred, with a basic understanding of construction processes, tools, and safety protocols
  • Proficiency in operating various construction equipment and power tools is preferred, with a focus on safe and efficient use
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • A valid driver’s license (or CDL) with a safe driving record
