Job summary

Blue Streak LLC 1 seeks a Skilled Laborer responsible for general labor tasks in underground construction of Fiber Optic systems. Key tasks include loading, transporting, and unloading materials, ensuring safety compliance, and assisting with excavation.

Ideal candidates will have over 3 years of experience in underground construction, be able to lift 75 lbs, and possess a valid driver's license. The position may require working outdoors in varying weather conditions and on-call availability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in underground construction preferred.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Load, transport and unload materials on to the job site.
• Ensure site compliance with safety regulations.
• Shovel dirt and assist Machine Operator with conduit laying.
• Dig holes and trenches for construction.
• Perform small concrete and asphalt repairs.
• Spot dig existing utilities.
• Ensure workspace is clear of debris.
• Assist Foreman with paperwork.

Full Job Description

• Load, transport and unload materials on to the job site
• Ensure site is set up correctly and in compliance with safety regulations and guidelines
• Shovel dirt to prepare and assist Machine Operator to lay conduit
• Dig holes/trenches
• Perform small concrete/Asphalt repairs
• Spot digging existing utilities
• Ensure the workspace is clear of debris
• Assist Foreman in completing paperwork

Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ year of experience in underground construction preferred
• Operate mini x
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced and quickly changing environment
• Ability to work on call including evenings and weekends as needed
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen rejected; continue list
• Valid driver's license required
