Lawson Rigging & Fabrication is a Design-Build General Contractor specializing in industrial facilities across the United States. Our clients include heavy industry, manufacturing, food processing, chemicals, power and renewable energy, fertilizer, and cargo facilities.

We are looking to hire hardworking individuals eager to learn and grow their careers. A pre-employment drug screen and compliance with Iowa and Federal requirements are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist with equipment setup, assembly, installation, and alignment of machinery per blueprints and specs.
• Handle materials and transport heavy machinery using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and assist with routine machinery maintenance.
• Help diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
• Show willingness to learn from experienced millwrights and develop skills in machinery installation, repair, and maintenance.

Experience in welding, rigging, and fabricating is preferred but training will be provided. Key qualities include mechanical aptitude, physical stamina, and eagerness to learn. The role is primarily outdoors, requires frequent travel, and comfort with heights.

Compensation includes $25/hour, $55 per diem daily, with hotel costs covered.

Physical Demands

This role requires climbing, standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, walking, and lifting/moving up to 75 pounds. PPE is provided. The work environment may include extreme temperatures, fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise levels.
