Job description

Construction Laborer

The Construction Laborer is responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor at Lemartec construction projects. They should be proficient in operating hand and power tools, have proven general construction experience, and be able to understand and follow directions from the Project Superintendent. The role also requires the ability to read basic design documents, specifications, and be familiar with Florida Building Code requirements related to installations.

Responsibilities

Other skills and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Understanding of subcontractors' scope of work
• Maintaining OSHA 30 Certification and enforcing safety standards
• Proficiency in using common construction tools (e.g., hand drill, grinder, nail gun, skill saw, etc.)
• Knowledge of schedule and productivity requirements
• Supporting concrete and asphalt installation tasks
• Assisting with site excavation, scaffolding, demolition, and material handling
• Identifying and correcting safety hazards
• Supporting quality inspections and ensuring work meets drawings
• Assisting with survey work and site cleanup

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Certification and knowledge of safety standards
• Ability to work independently, lift heavy objects, and perform strenuous labor
• Proficiency in tool operation and safety
