Job summary

Skillforce is hiring a Construction Laborer for an active commercial project in Fredericksburg, Virginia. You will support lead trades on site, handling materials and assisting with layout, tool use, and daily tasks.

The role requires 1+ years of commercial construction experience, a valid driver's license, and your own basic hand tools with PPE. W-2 employment with weekly pay is offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience working on commercial construction sites.
• Own basic hand tools and PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, boots and vest.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the jobsite daily.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to take direction.
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead tradesmen on site with material handling, layout support, and daily project tasks.
• Use hand and power tools to assemble, install, and repair materials.
• Handle demolition, material staging, loading/unloading deliveries, and equipment storage across the jobsite.
• Keep work areas, walkways, and laydown areas clean and clear for safe movement.
• Read basic blueprints and take accurate measurements and cuts as needed.

Skillforce is hiring Construction Laborers for ongoing project in Fredericksburg, Virginia. As a Construction Laborer, you will be responsible for supporting the carpenters, plumbers, and electricians on an active commercial jobsite.

Skilled Construction Laborer Pay:

• $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, based on your commercial construction experience.
• W-2 employment with weekly pay by direct deposit.

Skilled Construction Laborer Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, day shift, with overtime available as the project schedule requires.

Skilled Construction Laborer Responsibilities:

• You will assist the lead tradesmen on site with material handling, layout support, and daily project tasks.
• You will use hand and power tools to help assemble, install, and repair materials.
• You will handle demolition, material staging, loading and unloading deliveries, and equipment storage across the jobsite.
• You will keep work areas, walkways, and laydown areas clean and clear so the crews can keep moving safely.
• You will read basic blueprints and take accurate measurements and cuts when the crew needs them.

Skilled Construction Laborer Qualifications:

• You have one or more years of experience working on commercial construction sites.
• You have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the jobsite each day.
• You bring your own basic hand tools and your own personal protective equipment, including hard hat, safety glasses, boots, and vest.
• You are dependable, punctual, and comfortable taking direction from the tradesmen you are supporting.
• You can pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, and you are authorized to work in the United States.
