Job summary

Skillforce is hiring Skilled Construction Laborers for an ongoing project in Mineral, Virginia. You will support carpenters, plumbers, and electricians on an active commercial jobsite.

The role requires 1+ year of experience on commercial sites, a valid driver’s license, and bringing your own basic hand tools plus PPE. Weekly pay, medical/dental/vision, PTO and holidays, and 401(k) are offered, with overtime as the schedule requires.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience on commercial construction sites.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Bring your own basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, boots, vest).
• Dependable, punctual, and able to take direction from tradespeople.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check; authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead tradesmen with material handling, layout support, and daily tasks.
• Use hand and power tools to assemble, install, and repair materials.
• Demonstrate readiness for demolition, staging, loading/unloading deliveries, and equipment storage on site.
• Keep work areas clean and clear to ensure safe movement for crews.
• Read basic blueprints and take measurements/cuts as needed by the crew.
