Compensation and Benefits

Position Summary

Work as a Recreation Equipment Install Specialist, focusing on playgrounds, splash pads, and park equipment installation.

Typical Duties

• Assist with site layout preparation
• Assist with excavation and footing installation
• Erect and install commercial recreation equipment
• Clean up rubble and debris
• Assist other workers, including machine operators and foremen, in the installation process
• Load, unload, identify, and distribute building materials according to project plans and specifications
• Tend machines and gain experience as machine operators for growth in the industry
• Maintain safety as the top priority

Qualifications

• No prior experience in playground and splash pad installation required
• Knowledge of general construction, repair methods, and proper tool and equipment use
• Understanding of traditional building materials and techniques
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle

Physical Demands

• Ability to sit, stand, or walk continuously
• Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently
• Work in heat, cold, outdoors, and at heights
• Lift heavy objects (5-25 lbs frequently; 25-50 lbs often; 50-100 lbs occasionally)
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in awkward positions
• Use safety gear to protect against hazards

Work Environment

• Availability to work overtime, nights, and weekends
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions
