Position Summary

Laborers support various tasks on construction projects, working safely to protect themselves, the public, and team members. Responsibilities include job layout, grading, measurement, spotting, flagging, shoveling, raking, sweeping, traffic control, compaction, pipelaying, material handling, and operating small equipment like saws, compactors, and jackhammers. This is an hourly, non-exempt role.

Benefits

Starting wages range from $36.71 to $43.76 per hour, depending on the Union Contract. Benefits are provided through the applicable Union.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Preferred: previous construction or physical job experience
• Physically capable of long durations of standing, squatting, bending, lifting, and walking in various weather conditions
• Ability to listen, follow directions, and work as part of a team
• Adherence to all safety procedures and regulations
• Completion of any required additional training
