Position Summary:

Anistar is seeking Entry Level Cable Technicians for a long-term opportunity to assist with the installation, termination, and testing of various voice and data cables.

The ideal candidate will work under general supervision, maintaining a highly analytical and problem-solving mindset while functioning as a team player. Candidates will gain experience in running, testing, and terminating low voltage equipment for large data center projects.

Technicians should have exposure to working with various cables, including but not limited to: twisted pair, coax, power-limited tray, stranded, solid conductor low voltage, CAT-5, CAT-6, and single & multi-mode fiber optic cables. Cable installation tasks include pulling, placement, termination, testing, and labeling. Knowledge of telecom systems, TCP/IP networks, CCTV security, access control, and wireless solutions is desirable. A current or past BICSI certification is a plus but not required. We seek individuals who pay attention to detail and can work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Assist with pulling and installing new fiber and CAT6 cables in a new construction environment.
2. Install cable support structures such as fiber trays, cable trays, and ladder racks.
3. Perform manual labor, including moving boxes and materials around the job site.
4. Follow directions and demonstrate a willingness to learn.
5. Have prior experience in commercial new construction projects.
6. Work effectively as part of a large team.

Requirements:

1. Ability to stand for extended periods.
2. Capability to climb ladders and work from elevated platforms (boom and/or scissor lifts).
3. Ability to lift 50-75 lbs.
4. Follow instructions and learn new skills.
