Job summary

Staffing Fish, LLC seeks a Job Cost Accountant for our Phoenix East Valley construction team. This on-site, full-time role owns the full project life cycle from setup through closeout and reports directly to the controller.

You will set up jobs in Sage 300 CRE, maintain cost records, process invoices and subcontracts, prepare monthly progress billings, monitor budgets, support WIP reporting, and assist with closeout and ad hoc reporting. Construction experience required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction, general contracting, or related accounting.
• Strong understanding of job costing and project accounting processes.
• Experience with Sage 300 CRE highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Associate's degree or higher in accounting/finance/business.

Responsibilities

• Set up new jobs in Sage 300 CRE with cost codes and budgets.
• Maintain accurate job cost records across projects.
• Process subcontracts, invoices, and purchase orders.
• Prepare monthly progress billings, change orders and retainage.
• Monitor budgets, identify variances, and support cost-to-complete calculations.
• Support revenue recognition and WIP reporting.
• Assist with month-end/year-end close and project closeout.
