Richard Group seeks an IT Specialist in Chicago to support office and field teams with daily technology needs. You will manage equipment, onboarding, offboarding, and software licenses, ensuring clear ownership and timely follow-through throughout the lifecycle.

The role emphasizes process improvement, ticket management, and collaboration with HR, project teams, and vendors. A strong focus on security and asset control complements the diverse, fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or similar role.
• 3-5 years of experience in IT support; AEC industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency configuring and troubleshooting Windows laptops, iPads, and mobile devices.
• Experience maintaining IT asset inventories, license records, and equipment documentation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for multiple requests.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets (laptops, iPads, mobile devices, jobsite equipment).
• Configure, deploy, transfer, and recover IT equipment for staff needs.
• Coordinate onboarding/offboarding with HR and IT partners (device prep, access provisioning, license reconciliation).
• Maintain software license records and optimize assignments or cancellations.
• Provide day-to-day technical support for installations, sign-in, access, and software issues.
• Manage IT support tickets, communicate progress, and escalate with vendors as needed.
• Coordinate jobsite tech requirements with project teams (delivery, setup, troubleshooting).
• Maintain IT documentation (inventory, tickets, setup instructions, onboarding/offboarding checklists).
• Identify recurring issues and propose process improvements to reduce repeats.
• Ensure equipment aligns with security standards and access controls.
