Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is offering an undergraduate internship in the construction field in New Richmond, WV. Interns will gain hands-on experience across bidding, planning, and project execution with assignments spanning both office and field work. Relocation to remote sites may be required and transportation is needed.

Qualifications

• Open to undergraduate students interested in hands-on practical experience in the construction field.

Responsibilities

• Quantity take-off
• Layout
• Preconstruction/as-built surveys
• Shop drawing review/maintenance of log
• Submittal review/maintenance of log
• RFI review/submission/maintenance of log
• Interfacing with subcontractors & suppliers
• Attending weekly progress meetings
• Coordinating work between owner, architect & subcontractors
• Assisting during the bid process
• Reviewing construction documents & specifications
• Maintaining field records and cost/budget related tasks
