Job summary

Gold Coast Schools, a Colibri Group company, seeks experienced Construction instructors to conduct Pre-Licensing and continuing education across Florida campuses. Positions include day, evening and weekend sessions for both English and Spanish programs.

Instructors are expected to be dynamic, positive and engaging, with extensive construction knowledge and strong public presentation abilities. The team emphasizes turning complex concepts into accessible learning experiences.

Qualifications

• Qualified by education or experience to teach the course or parts of the course to which the instructor is assigned.
• A Four-Year College Degree or Graduate Degree qualifies to teach within their field of study
• Active or inactive State Certified or Registered Contractor with at least 5 years’ experience may teach any technical construction course within the contractor’s license scope.
• At least 2 years’ experience interacting with the subject matter as a contractor, inspector, engineer, program administrator or business professional.
• Completion of Train the Trainer certification by Gold Coast School of Construction.

Responsibilities

• Teaching, presenting lectures, and conducting discussions to increase students’ knowledge and competence, using visual aids.
• Prepare reports and maintain records such as grades, attendance, and training activity details.
• Observe and evaluate students’ work to determine progress and provide feedback.
• Administer oral, written, or performance tests to measure progress and evaluate training effectiveness.
• Enforce school policies and state regulations.
• Promote other Gold Coast programs and products to Gold Coast students.
