Job summary

Guardian Fueling Technologies seeks a hands-on installer to set up piping, tanks and mechanical systems for fueling facilities. Work includes outdoor construction, reading blueprints and performing basic math with attention to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read a blueprint and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

  • Install piping, tanks and mechanical systems at fueling facilities.
  • Operate construction tools and equipment safely.
  • Read blueprints and assist foreman with grades and paperwork.
  • Maintain strong safety record and teamwork on site.
  • Work as part of a team with occasional out-of-town travel.
  • Adhere to company safety and EE0 policies.

Job description

Summary/Objective:

In this position, you will work as part of a team to install Piping, Tanks and Mechanical Systems that operate fueling facilities as well as provide backup emergency power. Examples of worksites include service stations, marinas, hospitals, airports and more. We provide on-site, classroom and factory training for the equipment we install.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to safely operate a construction truck.
  • This position will involve hard manual labor!
  • Ability to read a blueprint.
  • Basic math and mechanical skills.
  • Physically fit with the ability to climb a ladder and lift 50 lbs.
  • Assist with the job foreman shooting grades and paperwork
  • Strong Safety Record
  • Self-motivated, mature and responsible - able to work as part of a team
  • The ability to operate small machinery such as a skid steer or backhoe is a plus
  • Ability to work out of town from time to time
  • Construction background, ability to operate hand tools such as pipe-wrench, sockets, etc.
Requirements
Required Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED required.

Work Environment:

This job operates in an outdoor environment (construction site).

Physical Demands:

This role is primarily physical in nature and requires hard manual labor!

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, M-F with overtime opportunities.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

US Work Authorization is required.

Travel:

Minimal, local travel is expected for this position.
