Construction Inspectors (Remote Site Locations) (Biotech)

GPI is seeking motivated Construction Inspectors with experience in bridges, roads, canals, utilities, and multi-use trail projects to join our team across various locations in Ohio. Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily inspections and observations of contractor work on heavy highway and bridge construction projects, including earthwork, asphalt, concrete, steel, MOT, safety devices, and utilities.
• Measure, compute, record, and maintain contract quantities for contractor payments.
• Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and standards.
• Perform and observe material sampling and testing per project standards.
• Ensure contractor work and materials meet project standards and specifications.
• Document daily project progress, including work performed, conformance, manpower, equipment, and contract quantities.
• Enter project data into SiteManager and ProjectWise.
• Identify and communicate project issues to managers and contractors.
• Assess and report unsafe conditions.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years of field experience in bridge, roadway, or related construction, preferably with ODOT projects.
• Applicable ODOT certifications.
• Experience with ODOT documentation and inspection reports.
• Knowledge of AASHTO, FHWA, and ODOT standards and procedures.
