Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Construction Inspector for Waterline, Sewer and Pavement Restoration in Cleveland, Ohio. The role focuses on ensuring quality and compliance on critical infrastructure projects, with involvement in inspections, documentation and coordination with the client.

Responsibilities include monitoring installations, overseeing restoration work, and performing occasional materials testing, while maintaining safety and adherence to plans and specs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in waterline and sewer construction as well as pavement restoration inspections.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and safety protocol.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required)

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor waterline, sewer and associated infrastructure installation, repair and replacement projects for compliance with plans, specifications and standards.
• Oversee pavement restoration activities ensuring proper materials, compaction and finish quality.
• Document daily progress, prepare inspection reports and communicate findings to the supervisor and the client.
• At times, perform materials testing on concrete, soils and asphalt as needed.
