Summary:

A leader in geotechnical construction and engineering is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Construction Inspector to join their newly developed team in Pittsburgh. They focus on private sector development, including projects such as big box retail, restaurants, convenience stores, and strip malls. This role is an exceptional opportunity for individuals eager to learn and grow in the geotechnical engineering and inspections field.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct construction phase testing and inspection of various components, including foundations, earthwork, soil compaction, concrete, and reinforcing steel.
2. Operate tools and equipment such as the Nuclear Density Gauge for soil testing or Slump Cones for concrete slump testing.
3. Ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
4. Provide reliable and accurate reporting on site conditions and inspection outcomes.

Job Requirements:

Requirements:

• 1+ year of geotechnical construction inspection experience
• ACI Certification
• Must be open to daily travel, which may include local commutes and occasional travel outside the surrounding area.
• Okay with using a personal vehicle for travel during the 6-month training period (mileage reimbursed)
• ICC Certification a plus
