Job summary

ATI, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector for a full-time, on-site role in Yorktown, VA. The CI will monitor daily construction activities, verify contract compliance, and maintain detailed project records.

The position serves as an advisor to the Government’s project team and does not direct contractor means or methods. Compensation includes a competitive salary range of $120,000–$140,000 per year, health and dental coverage, 401(k) with 4% match, disability and life insurance,

Qualifications

• 10+ years construction experience (QA/QC, superintendent, safety, or management) with strong reporting and computer skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; PE, PMP, or QA/QC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-construction, QC, and progress meetings; record minutes as directed.
• Analyze plans/specs and recommend changes, noting cost and schedule impacts.
• Review baseline and updated progress schedules and network diagrams.
• Perform daily site inspections; document findings and submit DCRs.
• Witness field tests and maintain a log of contract-required tests.
• Monitor layout/elevation surveys and verify as-built drawings.
• Maintain submittal logs and UniFormat-filled filing systems.
• Notify of safety violations; escalate severe issues to COR.
• Coordinate passes, outages, and deliveries on USCG property.
• Review payment requests and payrolls; verify quantities and labor.
