Job summary

Duplantis Design Group, PC (DDG) is seeking a motivated Construction Inspector Manager to oversee field inspections and documentation for multiple projects in the Mobile, AL market. This role requires coordinating with engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and safety standards.

The successful candidate will supervise inspection staff, help establish inspection programs, and support project controls, budgeting, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Promote company values and comply with company manual.
• Communicate with clients and contractors regularly.
• Assist in budget and schedule development and enforce project controls.
• Directly supervise inspection staff when applicable.
• Collaborate with engineers, construction crews, and project owners.
• Observe earthwork, base course, paving, drainage, stormwater, and erosion control operations.
• Document project records photographically and in writing; maintain as-built records.
• Monitor contractor compliance with plans and specifications.
• Record construction quantities daily and report to Engineer in Charge.
• Coordinate temporary traffic control and project phasing with contractor.
• Witness municipal inspections and materials testing as required.
• Support design staff with field-based input and practical design adjustments.
• Pursue ALDOT inspection and materials testing certifications; costs reimbursable.
