Job summary

DDG is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager in Mobile, AL to oversee site civil design and permitting for commercial, industrial, municipal projects. You will manage projects from preliminary design to construction, coordinating with clients and DDG staff to meet schedule and budget commitments.

The position emphasizes autonomous project leadership, safety compliance, and effective communication with stakeholders. Travel around 10% is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Path toward professional licensure (P.E. candidacy) in progress.
• 4+ years of civil engineering experience.
• Experience in commercial land development and site improvement design.
• Proficiency in civil land CAD drafting; AutoCAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently produce site civil engineering and land development design plans.
• Create drainage, grading, water, wastewater, and signage/marking plans.
• Prepare drainage and cut/fill calculations.
• Visualize and plan geographic representations for land development projects.
• Coordinate with project team to establish timelines and designs.
• Review environmental, wetland, geotechnical and traffic reports for design.
• Attend client/consultant meetings to define needs and propose solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior staff to support project objectives.
