• Possess a high school diploma or GED; OR six months of experience in sub-professional engineering, heavy equipment operation, or equipment maintenance.
• Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with policies, standards, and project plans.
• Complete and process construction documentation such as field diaries, reports, and estimates.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with departmental policies, standards, specifications, and project plans.
• Complete and process construction documentation such as field diaries, reports, and estimates.
• Enter, review, and maintain construction project data in departmental systems (e.g., MATT, Site Manager, Content Manager).
• Apply DOTD policies and procedures while working in the Project Engineer’s office and at construction sites.
• Serve as the primary construction inspector in assigned areas of specialization or certification.
• Determine material sampling requirements and verify materials, haul quantities, and survey elevations and alignments.
• Complete required training and support efficient project operations, including assisting other staff as needed.
