Job summary

GPI seeks Construction Inspector interns for offices in Buffalo and Rochester, NY. The role offers exposure to construction inspection on public projects and a range of responsibilities designed to teach on-site monitoring and reporting.

You will join a multi-disciplinary engineering firm with over 50 years of experience, offering a collaborative environment and opportunities to learn about infrastructure design and construction. Base pay is $16.00 - $21.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, plans, and specs.
• Strong basic computer skills: Word/Excel/Outlook.
• Willingness to work on busy construction sites and document activities.

Responsibilities

• Observe construction projects to identify work per contract documents.
• Prepare detailed daily reports for project needs.
• Provide site support for on-site engineering subcontractors.
• Report contract changes and potential issues.
• Monitor on-site activities representing GPI and the client.
