Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Construction Inspector with strong certification credentials to lead field inspections and ensure code compliance on diverse projects. You will perform daily inspections, document findings, and coordinate with engineers and project teams to resolve issues.

The role requires 2–4 years in construction inspection, multiple certifications (NICET II, ICC, AWS CWI, ASNT II, ACI), and a safety-first mindset. On-site work and travel may be required across sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree preferred in Civil/Construction Engineering Technology.
• Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in construction inspection.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
• Safety certifications completed successfully.
• Multiple certifications: NICET II, ICC, AWS CWI, ASNT II, ACI, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily construction inspections across projects.
• Monitor quality and adherence to building codes and drawings.
• Inspect across disciplines (structural steel, concrete, masonry, fireproofing).
• Prepare inspection reports and document observations and testing.
• Communicate findings to engineers/project manager; collaborate on solutions.
• Adhere to strict safety standards.
