A Construction Inspector II position is available with the City of Fort Worth's Transportation & Public Works Department, Capital Delivery Division. The selected candidate will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting construction plans and overseeing infrastructure projects involving utilities, storm drainage, concrete, and asphalt paving to ensure full compliance with plans, specifications, contracts, and all applicable regulatory requirements. This includes ensuring that workmanship and materials meet all required standards and verifying compliance with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) regulations, the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (TMUTCD), and all work zone safety requirements.
The role also involves establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with contractors, utility providers, the general public, and fellow employees. The ideal candidate is responsible, dependable, highly detail‑oriented, and committed to working collaboratively as part of a team.
