Corporate Environmental Risk Management, L.L.C. is seeking a Construction Inspector to oversee all phases of roadway, structural, building and utility construction projects.
You will inspect drawings and specifications, report deviations, and communicate with architects, engineers and contractors. The role requires attention to detail, ability to read plans, and experience in inspection of utilities and roadway work.
The Construction Inspector will be responsible for inspecting and reporting on every phase of the construction process: including, but not limited to, civil (roadway, site work & utilities), structural, building, electrical, mechanical (water-main & HVAC), indoor air quality, safety, and hazardous material abatement. This position will ensure that all contract documents represented by working drawings and specifications are properly executed by the contractors. This position is also accountable for establishing and maintaining a professional working relationship with architects, engineers, testing labs, general contractors, subcontractors, owners, and the general public, where applicable.
The required skills enable the Construction Inspector I to accurately assess construction activities and ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards. Strong observational and analytical skills are essential for identifying potential issues and verifying material quality on-site. Effective communication skills facilitate collaboration with contractors and project teams to resolve problems and maintain project timelines. The ability to read and interpret detailed construction plans allows the inspector to verify that work aligns with design requirements. Preferred skills, such as familiarity with inspection software and safety certifications, enhance efficiency and promote a safer work environment, contributing to overall project success.
