The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development is hiring for a District 61 unit-based Construction Inspector role in Ascension Parish. You will assist professional engineers and inspectors, perform inspections, and handle documentation, estimates, and data entry in SiteManager and LIMS.

Work may include nights, evenings, weekends, and driving requirements with a class E license, and you will participate in training and continuing education per DOTD policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of sub-professional engineering or related experience.
• Valid class E driver's license at appointment.

Responsabilités

• Utilize department procedures, policies, standards, and specifications in inspection of construction work and documentation.
• Serve as primary construction inspector in area of expertise; verify elevations/alignments for surveys.
• Review haul tickets for compliance; prepare reports and estimates; may serve as primary asphalt plant technician.
• Enter project data into SiteManager and LIMS.
• Attend preconstruction and progress meetings as primary inspector and provide quantities and insights.
