Job summary

City of Midwest City is seeking a Construction Inspector I in the Engineering and Construction Services Department. The incumbent coordinates inspections of engineering construction to ensure compliance with City codes and specifications.

Requires an Associate's Degree or trade certificate with 18 months of public works experience; valid Oklahoma license; and eventual ODEQ Class D certification within one year of hire. Salary starts at $26.98–$28.57 per hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Trade School Certificate required with 18 months minimum experience in public work construction, engineering, surveying, building, utilities.
• Equivalent additional experience may be accepted in place of education.
• Must possess valid Oklahoma driver license and be insurable.
• Must obtain ODEQ Class D water and wastewater certifications within one year of hire.
• Safety/security sensitive; subject to pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screening.
