Perform daily inspection of construction projects monitoring quality and adherence to building code requirements, construction drawings, and project specifications. Inspections may include multiple disciplines such as structural steel, concrete, masonry, fireproofing, etc., involving visual/physical inspection and field testing to verify conformance. Prepare inspection reports and document observations and testing results, communicating findings to engineers or project managers. Collaborate with the team on solutions to potential issues and adhere to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing, observation, and inspection as directed, following training and procedures.
• Interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Document findings clearly and accurately.
• Analyze data to verify accuracy before reporting.
• Communicate results to project team and draft inspection reports.
• Assist senior inspectors as needed.
• Maintain equipment and ensure calibration.
• Follow safety protocols and report hazards.
• Maintain quality standards across projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in Civil or Construction Engineering Technology preferred.
• 2-4 years’ experience as an Engineering Technician or similar role; 1 year in construction inspection preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record.

Certifications (Required or Preferred)

• Internal safety certifications; NICET Level II in Construction Materials Testing or Geotechnical; ICC certifications; AWS CWI; ASNT Level II; ACI certifications; Radiation safety and Nuclear Density Gauge operation certifications.
