Base pay range

$110,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr

Job Title: Construction Inspector-Electrical

  • Work Location: Canandaigua, NY
Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with the manager in the interviewREQUIREMENT: Must be a US Citizen and must pass a federal background review and drug screenDuties/Responsibilities:
  • Provide construction inspection services on multiple federal projects valued from tens of millions to hundreds of millions of dollars.
  • Experience with large Federal Building Design, Medical Building Design, or similar complex projects (construction value of at least $100 million) is desired.
  • Responsible for site observation and reporting to government personnel.
  • Provide technical and administrative support.
  • Experience with low voltage systems is preferred.
  • Oversee construction, contract administration, and quality assurance activities.
  • Analyze design and construction issues related to contract requirements.
  • Recommend solutions to ensure compliance with contracts.
  • Review and interpret plans, specifications, submittals, reports, schedules, modifications, cost estimates, pay applications, change orders, and claims.
  • Provide field surveillance and prepare detailed daily reports on safety, cost, and engineering factors.
  • Participate in pre-construction conferences with government personnel.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems in large and complex buildings, including low and high voltage, system controls, building automation, and data centers, is highly desirable.
Education/Experience:
  • Extensive experience with electrical systems preferred.
  • Significant experience with low-voltage systems is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of construction inspection experience.
  • Experience with USACE or other federal projects is preferred.
  • Experience using RMS 3.0 is a plus.
  • Engineering Degree, RCDD, or P.E. in Electrical Systems is a plus.
