Your Opportunity + Impact

LDG is currently seeking qualified Transportation Inspectors (TCI) and Transportation Construction Inspection Supervisors (TCIS) for our ongoing Highway and bridge projects located in various locations throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania. This work includes Penndot, PA Turnpike, and municipality projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inspect, observe, and document construction activities for Transportation and/or Civil projects.
2. Use various computer software programs to document observations and create inspection reports.
3. Continuously monitor the work of the team to ensure timely completion of projects.
4. Interact with clients, contractors, sub-contractors, government agency representatives, and other parties regularly.
5. Communicate information, respond to inquiries, and help resolve field issues to ensure successful project completion.
6. Obtain and maintain required certifications.
7. Utilize technical references appropriately for inspecting structural, concrete, earthwork, building, and mechanical components.

Education and Experience

• GED or high school diploma required; a degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.
• Minimum of two years of PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike, or related transportation construction experience.
• Certifications: NECEPT bituminous and concrete, ACI, NICET Level 2 or higher in Highway Construction, CDS NextGen, KAHUA.

Qualifications

• Experience with PennDOT, PA Turnpike, or related organizations.
• Previous construction inspection experience.
• Experience working with CDS NeXtGen and Kahua.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
